I am so excited to be able to now share this new project with you. It’s been many months in the making and now it’s finally ready for you to see.
In Colossians chapter 2, Paul warns that there is danger ahead. He was worried that some might be deceived by fine-sounding arguments and taken captive through hollow and deceptive philosophies.He told the Colossians that the way to remain free from these captors was to root and build themselves up in Christ, just as they received Him.
Now more than ever, we need to heed Paul’s advice. It seems like we are constantly bombarded with ever-changing information about what people think we should do or think or say, but Paul would warn us to be leery of what they say. He writes in Colossians 2:8,
“See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.”
That’s why each day I want to spend ten minutes with you so we can root ourselves in Christ and build ourselves up in the faith the Bible teaches us.
Starting on Monday, October 1, I’ll sit down each and every week day to read from God’s Word and apply it to life. The show Rooted Daily will be available on all your favorite apps for subscribing to podcasts and with video on YouTube and Facebook.
